ENDSARS Killings – Where’s the Leadership in the Southwest?
Events of the past 48 hours in the Southwest, Nigeria has indeed been a sad and pathetic one; again it has left us with certain questions which as sons and daughters of the Odua Soil we need answers to.
The total break down of law and order which has left many dead, properties destroyed with no sight of normalcy been restored. It’s pertinent and sacrosanct that we ask the question, Where is the Yoruba Leaders?
Just recently announced, the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Oba Akiolu has been ransacked and destroyed by hoodlums leaving a whole king in the Yoruba kingdom to take to his heels in broad day light. His staff of office turns to a plaything as angry mob cart away with the sacred item.
It’s important that we as good sons and daughters of the Oduduwa race demand answers in times like this. The nation is on fire, the region keeps losing its vibrant sons and daughters to this ugly occurrence.
The failure of the our leaders to ensure that order and normalcy is restored will lead to nothing but a total state of anarchy.
