*APC CHIEFTAIN LOUDS RESULTS OF ONDO ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS AND THE OVERWHELMING POPULARITY OF THE PARTY*
-SAYS ROUND PEGS IN ROUND HOLES
The just concluded March 18th State Assembly polls in Ondo State has once again proven the overwhelming popularity of our great party.
I wish to heartily congratulate our State Assembly members elect, especially my friends in the House. Some of whom are ranking members and others newly elect.
It is noteworthy that out of 8 ranking members who sort relection, my very good friends are part of the incumbent lawmakers who were reelected. They include Hon. Oluwole Emmanuel Ogunmolasuyi (Owo 1 APC/Majority Leader); Ololade Gbegudu (Okitipupa 11, APC); and Abayomi Akinruntan (Ilaje 1, APC) who is returning for the third term. Their reelection is premised upon outstanding performance, which his unprecedented in the history of our State Assembly. I thank them for performing creditable.
I also wish to congratulate and charge the newly elected members to live up to the expectation, yearnings, and aspiration of their people. Especially, the three female lawmakers who were newly elected, Morenike Witherspoon, APC, Owo 2, Princess Oluwatosin Ogunlowo, APC Idanre, Olawunmi Fayemi, APC ilaje 2. I am more than excited to note that the electoral victory of Olawunmi Fayemi is well deserved. She has before even the primary and Assembly Elections empowered and given back to Ilaje tremendously. I am optimistic that with this, she will do more.
More so, Olatunji Ifabiyi, Odigbo 1, Messiah Allen, Ese-Odo; Oluwarotimi Fasonu, Odigbo 2; Murtala Suleiman, Akoko South East; Fatai Tiamiyu Atere – Akoko Northwest 1, Kolawole Ologede, Akure North, Akindolani Nelson Akinsuroju – Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo and others.
Let me specially thank the people of Ile-Oluji-Okeigbo for producing one of their best and a dependable ally of mine Akindolani Nelson Akinsuroju. I am confident that the Honorable elect will deliver in all ramifications.
This is just the beginning of a journey an Era and a new dispensation.
Your election is an affirmation of the people’s trust in your ability to deliver. I am equally confident that you are round pegs in round holes. Your legislative duty should be tailored towards providing requisite assistance to the government to deliver on its mandate. People’s oriented policies must be the hallmark. I have such confidence that this ODHA legislative session will deliver.
