Akinmulewo Celebrates God’s Faithfulness @70

The grace to attain seventy years of age can only be given and sustained by God. At 70, the mind runs faster than the body; but the grace of God is needed to forge ahead in good health. Age is actually not measured by years, since nature does not distribute energy to humans equally. Some people are actually born old and tired while others are waxing strong at age seventy.

Septuagenarian James Kolawole Akinmulewo has every reason to appreciate God for keeping him alive to attain 70 years of age in active service to men and his creator. He breathed his first air of this world on October 18, 1949 at Ode-Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State. Kola as he is fondly addressed by his peers was bred in the shores of River Oluwa and the rural grasslands of Ode-Irele in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State.

Manifest faithfulness of God saw the septuagenarian through all the associated dangers of early childhood which had claimed the lives of many of his contemporaries. He began and successfully completed his primary and secondary school education to the grace of God. Kolawole later proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau State in 1984 where he studied and obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering. His search for further knowledge took him to the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt where he studied and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma Degree in Crop Science in 1996.

The trained Agriculturist began his career with the Ondo State Civil Service where he worked in various Ministries and held positions of responsibilities particularly in the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Akinmulewo served the Sunshine State meritoriously and fruitfully for 35 years before he eventually retired in year 2008. The Agriculturist nonetheless proved his mettle as a dynamic administrator with a wealth of knowledge and experience in public administration, organisational development and agricultural extension services.

He deservedly earned the reputation of being a hard-working, self motivated professional that could boast of highly beneficial initiatives and enthusiastic powers. The interpersonal skills and work ethic demonstrated by Akinmulewo while in the employment of Ondo State Civil Service were most commendable. It is noteworthy that
Kolawole would always exerted optimal effort to ensure all tasks given to him are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Akinmulewo is such a talented, dutiful and highly experienced person. His vast experience in various public sectors of Ondo State in addition to the possession of key competencies for leadership has brought and still bringing values to people. He has proven himself as a goal getter over the decades with his ‘ I can do it’ attitude.

He also built for himself while in active service of Ondo State the reputation of ensuring that the state’s interests were always given priority while taken patriotic decisions in the best patriotic interest of the Sunshine State. Akinmulewo is also known for his invaluable and intellectual scholastic contributions in all the positions of responsibilities he held while in the employment of Ondo State Civil Service.

Aside the career success of Kayode James Akinmulewo in the public service of Ondo State, he is also a pastor in the vineyard of God. He was ordained a pastor in The Acts of Apostles International Church by the General Overseer, Apostle/Prophet (Dr) Z. B. Adeboriota, JP in 2008. He has since become filled with the Holy Spirit and preaching the preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. God has used Pastor Akinmulewo to minister to the spiritual needs of many of his congregants.

The life of Pastor J.K Akinmulewo is truly worthy of emulation. He is a model of honesty, integrity and transparency. He has been leading a life of unbridled commitment to the work of God and he has chosen to stay dutiful to the building of complete Christian families in the Nigerian society.

Notwithstanding his current marital status, Pastor Akinmulewo remains an ardent respecter of family values. He was married to
Deaconess Rachael Oladunni Akinmulewo of blessed memory in 1976. The marriage was blessed with successful and responsible children and grandchildren.
