A former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ondo State during the 2020 election, Chief Olayide Adelami has put smiles on the faces of over 1000 widows as they prepare for the yuletide.
Adelami and his wife, Abosede Adelami gifted each of the over 1000 widows with 5kg bag of rice, salt and different seasoning cubes at the 16th edition of the annual Christmas party for widows.
The yearly Christmas get-together organized for widows was held at the Owo country home of former Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly.
Speaking at the event, Adelami said knowing that vulnerable widows would have basic food items to celebrate the yuletide with their children truly gave him immense joy.
The Amuwagboye of Owo also charged privilege members of the society to extend love to the less privilege ones around them, especially during the yuletide season. He added that love, selflessness and cheerful giving were the reasons for the yuletide season.
While showing appreciation on behalf of other widow, Mrs Tinuke Adebayo thanked Adelami for continually putting smiles on their faces every December. She also prayed that God would never forsake the Adelami’s family.
