Tunji-Ojo urges peaceful coexistence among constituents

The Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has charged members of his constituency to maintain peaceful coexistence amongst themselves.

The honourable member who represents Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency gave the admonition on Thursday in Abuja while receiving members of Hausa, Ibo and Fulani communities from his constituency.

The Lawmaker, popularly called BTO, commended the interpersonal relationship that had existed between the non indigenes and members of their host communities.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on New Media, Alao Babatunde, the Lawmaker reiterated his commitment to transforming the constituency through delivering on effective representation.

He said, “Akoko North East/ North West Federal constituency does not have a choice but to work together.

“We shouldn’t talk to you only when we need votes. Even when we don’t need votes we should continue talking to you. There’s no point representing you when you cannot talk to me

“Let us continue to make the constituency peaceful. By the Grace of God I will work for all of you; Yoruba, Ibo, Fulani, Hausa and others.”

Members of the constituents include, Alhaji Halidu Muhammadu, the Seriki Hausa in Akoko North East Local Government, Alhaji Usman Tafie, Seriki Fulani in Akoko North East.

Others include Alhaji Abu Dogo, the Seriki Fulani in Akoko North West, Alhaji Umar Ibrahim, Hausa Leader in Akoko North West and Mr Stanley Omeje, Secretary of Ibo Association.
