The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi has continued to display outstanding leadership qualities and sincerity of purpose, one which over the years has earned him a soft spot in the hearts of the majority in his Senatorial district.
Described as one of the most proactive Senators in the Red Chamber, the Ogun born and bred lawmaker representing Ogun West Senatorial District started the year 2022 on a whole new height, one is which showed and added more credence to his commitment to ensure a better reality for his people.
The year 2021 saw him performed excelled well advancing the interest of his people, through him, various sustainable and community development projects were initiated and commissioned, policies were also sponsored by him in the floor of the house all which were made to offer his people a better reality.
As a lawmaker who believes in the active engagement of his people in ventures that would go a long way in their economic empowerment and sustenance, he passionately believes that a society will be secured enough when its people is empowered because an empowered community will never give any harm to the society in which they are living.
Senator Tolu Odebiyi holds that a proper empowerment creates a sense of responsibility and leadership skills in the people, one.which goes a long way in transforming and shaping the narrative for the better for his people.
While the women in various communities are always been left out in the empowerment plan and opportunities, a trend which has left many of them impoverished, Senator Tolu Odebiyi has found it important to ensure that they are not left out in his empowerment drive in the senatorial district.
As it’s always said, when you empower the woman, you empower the family as a whole, Senator Tolu Odebiyi has not made his plan to ensure that the interest of the women in his senatorial district is not only protected but also advanced.
On the Tuesday 11th of January, 2022, the Ogun West Senator further rekindled the hope of many with the distribution of several Sewing Machines, Grinding Machines and other vocational training items to hundreds of women in his District.
This gesture by the Senator who is also the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Marine transport and Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is part of the Senator’s quest to help the women become self-reliant, and also improve their economic status in their various communities.
This singular act of Senator Tolu Odebiyi is a further prove of his commitment to ensuring the interest of women in his Senatorial district. It further shows the intent and readiness of the Senator to bring more sustainable development projects and initiatives to his people in the year 2022.
