It was a jamboree on Sunday, August 30th, 2020 as supporters trooped out in their large numbers to welcome Hon. Gboluga Ikengboju, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP), Deputy Governorship Aspirant as he continues reconciliation moves ahead of the October 10, 2020 elections in Ondo state.

The supporters that cut across the six Local Governments in Ondo South Senatorial District came out en-masse to show their solidarity and unalloyed support for the PDP and it’s flag bearer.

While addressing the people at the Party’s Senatorial Office, Ore, the lawmaker who currently represents Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, said the tour tagged “Operation Sustain Ondo South for PDP” was borne out of the need to calm the tension that arose after party’s primaries.

He implored the party’s members to shun all divisive tendencies while accentuating those virtues which unite them as one family in order to build on the party’s overwhelming victory at the last General Elections in 2019. He further explained that he had been working tirelessly with his Principal, Eyitayo Jegede SAN and the party’s leadership both at the state and national levels to ensure that no stone is left unturned for PDP’s victory at the polls.

The PDP chairman, Ondo South Senatorial District, Elder Amos Fadope, in his reaction applauded the lawmaker for the giant step even as he admonished all the party’s stakeholders to remain more united than ever before in order to send the All Progressives Congress (APC) packing.

He said “we can assure you that we are solidly behind you. PDP is our party and we shall do everything possible to ensure that we sustain our lead in the forthcoming election”

Hon. Gboluga who procceded with his entourage to Irele visited the party’s LGA Chairman, High Chief Oyenusi and a host of other leaders and members where he received their blessings.

The tour ended in Okitipupa Local Government with grand reception by well wishers , party members, kinsmen, and representaives of Non-indigenes at his Ilutitun residence.
