Iwu to deliver lecture at 30th Coronation of Ajana Afa of Okeagbe, Oba Oladunjoye Fajana

A University Don, Dr Hyacinth Nnaoma Iwu of the Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State will deliver the 30th convocation lecture of the Ajana Afa of Okeagbe Akoko, Oba Oladunjoye Fajana.

Iwu will speak on “The role of Traditional Rulers towards building a viable society” on the first day of the event on Wednesday 24th November, 2021

Prince Niyi Fajana, Chairman, Publicity and Media Sub- committee of the Anniversay Planning Committee made this known today at a pre-event media briefing in Akure.

He said the 30 years convocation anniversary would be unique, in the sense that it will showcased display of Traditional ancestral Crown, Beads and Staff of Office.

Fajana said the indispensable role played by Traditional Rulers in the nation building cannot be over emphasized.

According to him, the preservation of cultural heritage through the initiative would help to bring about peace in the country through their various communities saying that the traditional ruler could through their efforts become true Ambassadors for Peace.
However the 30th anniversary will commence on Wednesday 24th November, 2021 as many dignitaries across nooks and crannies of the Country and well-meaning sons and daughters of the town will gathered at Okeagbe Akoko to Celebrate the 30th Coronation Anniversary.

Other events line-up include Medical Checkup, and Football match. Confirment of Titles and installation of Chiefs by Oba Fajana , Jumat service, and Youth Night out.

The Grand Finale of the anniversary will come up on November 27, 2021 at St. George’s Primary School field, Okeagbe Akoko while the even will be rounded off with Thanksgiving service.
