The Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Right Honourable (Prophet) Oleyelogun Bamidele David has
congratulated Nigerians on this year’s celebration and assured them of the government’s commitment to tackle challenges facing the nation.
Among these challenges are: insecurity, banditry, ASUU strike, agitation by different groups or separatists. Oleyelogun who made use of the independence celebrations, advised stakeholders, the leadership of the Federal Government of Nigeria most especially President Muhammadu Buahari,GCFR to note that with
God’s Intervention, good lawmaking, dialogue, true federalism, restructuring,
equitable distribution of generated revenue,
presidency rotation, and call to
international community interventions could put an end to some of these challenges.
Consequently, he noted that the warmth welcoming spirit and love, as well as our unbounded human capital, the richness of our land and cuture has made Nigeria unarguably the leading black nation in the world and “The Pride of Africa- BEACON OF HOPE”.
The speaking Speaker, who assured citizens of the support of the House towards the Nation Building at all times, expressed appreciation to Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu SAN on his various landmark achievements in the last Five years of his administration.
