High Chief Bibopere Ajube has visited the two communities of Asere and Otoputu to inspect the level of damages done by a 9-man criminal gang led by one M.K Mone who attacked and built five houses and several properties in both communities in the mid-night of Saturday 3rd of April, 2021.

Mone, an alleged gun runner, kidnapper and sea pirate is an indigene of Asere community but decided to launch an attack on his presumed enemies and a 90 years old man, Pa. Amos for challenging his criminal activities within the riverine communities of Ondo, Edo and Delta States.

Eyewitness account said the gang invaded Asere Community on a new 150 ox power engine boat with guns; looting, shooting and burning down houses on their tracks.

However, Chief Ajube at a meeting with the community leaders in Asere on Sunday, promised to fish out the perpetrators of the deadly act and bring them the justice within a short time.

He was accompanied on the fact finding tour of the riverine communities by Ondo State Commissioner for Information, Donald Ojogo and Navy Captain A.A Mohammed.

He also promised to facilitate speedy rebuild of the built houses with the Ondo State Government, dolling out N5 million as his personal contribution towards the rebuild project.

Ajube, who owns Gallery Security Services, a security outfit that was staddled with the security responsibility and operation along the Ese-Odo local government area coastlines; ordered for immediate construction of a security out post adjacent Asere community to provide adequate security in the riverine community.
