DEMOCRACY DAY: SEN. TOLU ODEBIYI PRAISES NATION’S HEROES

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District, Sen. Tolu Odebiyi congratulates the good people of Ogun West and Nigerians in general, on the occasion of this year’s Democracy Day, today, Saturday, 12th June, 2021, as he remembers the Nation’s Heroes who paid the supreme price for a united and prosperous Nigeria.

In a congratulatory message released today, the Ogun West Senator said, “While congratulating Nigerians, it is important to call on the people of our great country to rededicate their efforts towards achieving a peaceful and secured nation” .

“It is unfortunate that some people had to pay the supreme price for what we are benefiting from today, It has become imperative for us to eulogize all those that paid this supreme price for us to achieve what we have achieved so far, and ensure that we protect their legacies”.

“We will continue to strengthen our personal commitment to make Nigeria a truly democratic nation. A democracy that reflects the wishes of the people we serve”

Remembering the people who fought for the actualisation of June 12, such as, the Late Chief M.K.O Abiola, Beko Ransome Kuti, Alfred Rewane, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola etc, Senator Odebiyi notes that, the only honour that will suit these great heroes is for all Nigerians to join hands together not only at ensuring good governance, but at also putting an end to the insecurity that has become very recurring in the country.
