Akinfolarin holds security summit

…pushes for improved security architecture in Federal Constituency

Federal Lawmaker, representing Ile Oluji/Okeigbo/Odigbo Federal Constituency, Ondo State, Hon. Mayowa Akinfolarin, on Monday held a security summit for Traditional/Religious Leaders and Security Agencies in the Federal Constituency.

According to him, the summit was held as part of his commitment to improving the security architecture of the Federal Constituency.

He also explained the need for a proper synergy between security agencies and the traditional rulers in the federal constituency and the state at large to combat cases of insecurity.

According to him, the traditional rulers are the closest to the people hence they have an immense role to play in advocating for peace in their respective communities.

He also revealed that his led representation is partnering with the Federal Cooperative College in Ibadan to boost the security architecture of the federal constituency.

Also the Ondo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Orimisan Aiyedaitiwa who represented the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.SAN stated that the issue of security has been prioritized by the Akeredolu led administration.

He also stated that security operatives of the indigenous security outfit, Amotekun, since inception has made tremendous progress in curbing the high rates of insecurity in the State.

He also commended Hon. Akinfolarin for coming up with the initiative which he described as well timed.

Aiyedaitiwa also commended Governor Akeredolu for his salient efforts which has proven instrumental in changing the fortunes of the State.

He disclosed that the Federal Government last week reported that Ondo State Nas the lowest poverty level in the country with 27 percent.

According to him, the Akeredolu led administration will continue to do more for the people across the various sectors in the State.

Present at the event were, Oba Rufus Olugboyega Akinrunda, Orunja Of Odigbo Kingdom; HRM Oba Aderemi Adelola,The Ajobu Of Araromi Obu Kingdom among many other top government functionaries.

Also, personnel of Amotekun, Civil Defence as well as Religious Leaders were also at the event.

At the end of the summit, a certificate of participation was issued by the Federal Corperative College, Ibadan, Oyo State.
