The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Tolu Odebiyi, congratulates Muslim Faithful in Nigeria, particularly in Ogun West Senatorial District, on the successful completion of Ramadan Fasting, and the commemoration of this year’s Eid-el-Fitr.
The Ogun West Senator also urges the security agencies to reduce heightened apprehensions, occasioned by the rising insecurity issues across the country.
In a statement, Sen. Odebiyi commends the Muslim faithful for their immense self sacrifice, courage and prayers for the peaceful coexistence of the country.
He enthuses, ‘As we celebrate Ramadan today, we must continue to express the fundamental purpose of Islamic morality and its emphasis on our love for God, and for His creations’.
The Senator who is also the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory (FCT) uses this festive period to call on the security agencies to make deliberate efforts or device actionable strategy towards addressing the sticky problems of insecurity in the country, so that we can emerge stronger, united and indivisible nation of great people.
While demonstrating further that the people’s welfare is paramount to him, Sen. Odebiyi assures that he will continue to improve the economic and social wellbeing of the people so as to achieve the lofty objectives of providing good governance for every segment of his Senatorial District.
He also reiterates the need to adhere to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines, to safeguard ourselves from the COVID-19 variant ravaging India and other countries at the moment.
