Condolence Statement on the Passing of Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (Née Gbamila)
We received with deep sorrow but gratitude to God for a life well spent, the news of the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Mama Keketobou Jane Kuku (née Gbamila), who transitioned peacefully this morning at the glorious age of 90 years.
Mama Kuku was the cherished mother of Dr. Kingsley Kuku, Esq., former Special Adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs and Chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Committee. Her passing marks the end of an era and the celebration of a fulfilled life of virtue, service, and enduring impact.
Born into a humble family, Mama Kuku distinguished herself through a life of hard work, discipline, and unwavering faith in God. She was a symbol of wisdom and compassion, whose strength of character and moral guidance shaped not only her children but also many within her community. Through sheer resilience, she nurtured generations and instilled in them the timeless values of honesty, perseverance, and commitment to humanity.
Mama’s remarkable legacy lives on through her offspring, men and women of character and accomplishment who continue to embody her virtues and extend her influence far beyond the shores of her immediate community.
