The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ondo State felicitates the Muslim faithfuls on this year’s celebration of Eid-el-Fitri.
All Muslim brothers and sisters should reflect on their beliefs, lifestyles, virtues of piety, compassion, forgiveness and act of giving exhibited during the fasting period.
The party is not unaware of the tough challenges confronting the good people of Ondo state and the nation at large. Nonetheless, the symbolic lessons learnt from those who observed the spiritual exercise of Ramadan and now coming out stronger indicate that no matter how unbearable and tough the situation may appear, we must be strongly persistent to achieve our set goals as a state.
Our party therefore charges all the good people of Ondo State to showcase strong resilience and steadfast faith in God, that the nation will definitely overcome all the mountainous challenges bedeviling her to regain its place of pride among other nations where people’s welfare, identity and security shall be the fundamental business of governance and where dignity of persons, regardless of their status shall be on the frontline of governance. We should also strive to live peacefully with everyone and note that security is everyone’s business.
