“We will overcome these trying times with prayers and supplications”- Babajide Sanwo-Olu

The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo- Olu on has today urged Christians in across the nation to be full of hope and optimism as the nation seeks to rebuild and heal from the various events which has put a bad light on the growth and development of the nation.
He was represented by his Special Adviser on Religious Matters ( Christian) Reverend Bukola Adeleke.

Speaking at the Soul Winner’s Crusade 2020 which was organized by the City of God’s Cathedral, he explained that now is the time for Nigerians to move closer to God and stand in the place of prayer for the future of Lagos State and Nigeria in general.

Thanking the visioner of the program and President of the Ministry, Cardinal Prophet J. O Odumbaku JP, FPA, D.HL, he stated that the timing of this year events came at a time when the nation is looking forward to putting the past behind it in the wake of the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and also the ENDSARS protest which took a violent turn as it was hijacked by miscreants and hoodlums.

Also, speaking at the event, the host of the occasion,Prophet J. O Odumbaku JP, FPA, D.HL expressed his optimism that with faith in God backed up with prayers, the State will be set again on the path of immense growth and development.

He explained that the Children of God across the 36 states of the Federation have a huge role to play in achieving this, and they must not relent in their commitment to ensuring a better Nigeria.

According to him, ” Today we continue the journey to rebuild and heal our state, no doubt the past few weeks has been one of the darkest in our history, however we are determined to remain resolute because we believe in the power of the Almighty God to restore all that was lost.”

He also enjoined all Christians across the various denomination in the state and in Nigeria to continue to seek the face of God in prayers and supplications that the state and the nation can be completely healed.
