I hope this message finds you in good health. I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of utmost urgency and concern regarding the deplorable conditions at Command Secondary School in Apata, Ibadan.
It has come to our attention that students at this institution are facing severe maltreatment, including untold hardships, physical abuse, and neglect. The situation has reached a point where some students are resorting to stealing to cope with the extreme hunger they are being subjected to, despite their parents having paid school fees and feeding allowances.
Reports indicate that students are being beaten mercilessly at the slightest opportunity, with some even being forced to go naked and roll in mud. This level of brutality is not only unacceptable but also raises serious questions about the well-being and safety of the students in this educational institution.
Furthermore, it is disheartening to learn that certain teachers are exploiting parents by demanding exorbitant sums of money to guarantee the safety of their children. There are also allegations of teachers collecting money for students to join extra lessons. Parents are reportedly being coerced into buying provisions for their children, only to have these provisions denied to hungry students.
The intention of this message is not to tarnish the image of the school but to shed light on the serious allegations of abuse and neglect that have enveloped Command Secondary School, Apata Ibadan. It is crucial that this issue be brought to the public’s attention to safeguard the well-being and future of the students who are currently being treated inhumanely, akin to prisoners of war.
I urge you, as the editor, to investigate these allegations thoroughly and to publish an article exposing the truth behind the inhuman treatment of students at Command Secondary School. By doing so, we hope to prompt immediate action to rectify the situation and ensure the safety, well-being, and proper treatment of the students.
