One of the recipient of the Tolu Odebiyi Foundation, Ajibola Olasode has appreciated the Tolu Odebiyi Foundation for giving him a golden opportunity to continue his academic pursuit.
This was shared by the TOD foundation on its website which featured him as the TOD Scholar of the Week.The Final year student of the department of Finance, University of Lagos explained that things became so difficult for him after the loss of his father as he had to resorted to doing menial jobs to survive while also depending on the little earnings of his mother who is a petty trader.
According to him, “I used the little I got from the business to assist myself and the family, I lost an admission slot in 2016 due to my inability to pay acceptance fees.”
He also explained that he had to do more jobs to save enough to pay for his subsequent admission into the University of Lagos. As revealed by him, he applied for the TOD Scholarship in 200 level and ever since he got chosen as a TOD Scholar, the payment of his school fees has never been an issue.
According to him, He was able to start his professional course in 200l and in May 2021, he got certified by the Accounting Technician Scheme of West Africa and Association of Accounting Technician Certificate
