THIS IS BEYOND SHOCKING
It is with deep sense of loss and great sadness that I condole with the families of the victims of the barbaric and gruesome attack by Fulani terrorists at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Owaluwa, Owo yesterday. We are still struggling to come to terms with the Carnage and the debasement of humanity on the sacred ground of God. It is utterly shocking.
Before the ugly incident, Ondo State has been relatively peaceful but these cruel attackers seek to put a wedge through the tranquility that Ondo State and Owo town particularly enjoys. They will not succeed because we will not let them win.
While I condole with the victims and their families, I am using this medium to call on Government and security agencies to find and bring the perpetrators to book, to show the world that our State will not treat such evil with kid gloves. They must be brought to book.
We are at war. This is a call to war and we must not rest or sleep until we secure ourselves. These terrorists must be made to understand that in our State, we do not turn our backs when terrorists come. We all must be prepared to defend ourselves.
I pray for the victims, their families, the Olowo of Owo (His Imperial Majesty, Oba Gbadegesin Ogunoye), the people of Owo township and Ondo State as a whole that God will grant us the fortitude to bear these great losses.
