Senior Citizen Healthy Living Initiative Launches Operation in Lagos State

The Senior Citizen Healthy Living Initiative has formally launched its operation in Ondo State, this was done in Lagos State on the 9th of July, 2021.

According to information gathered by Triangle Media, The Senior Citizen Healthy Living Initiative is a registered Non-Governmental Organization, Non-political organization and Not-profit making organization, established to provide Free health services, medical knowledge and to carrying out various medical diagnostic test for the people of 50years and above Free of charge in order to eradicate preventable death that may arise from preventable sickness and disease.

Speaking at the Launch of the Organization, Mr Bolaji Yusuf, the Program Director stated that the aim of the non-profit the is eradicating preventable death caused by preventable illness and disease associated with the senior citizen as a result of ignorant and lack of access to basic medical treatment and attention. He further added that the mission of the body is providing health knowledge, diagnostics test and treatment to the senior citizen through specialized midwives and medical practitioners.

In his words,’ The Senior citizens are prone to a lot of diseases associated with their age and status. A lot are scared of going to the hospital for proper diagnostics of the nature of the disease and required treatment. This is associated with fear of the medical cost, unfriendly approach of the nurse, doctor inpatient to hear and listen to complex complain, time wastage, lack of special attention to the Senior citizen”

“The Senior Citizen Healthy Living Initiate has come to bridge the above gap through our various health related activities enumerated under our objectives. This Free service is going to touch many lives both in Rural area and urban area. It will go beyond this country over time.” he added

While also enjoining members of the public to take proactive steps in ensuring that Senior Citizens in the state are adequately catered for, he also encouraged them to be a partaker of the great initiative through Individual Donation; Corporate Donation; Special Event Donation; Offering of Free service.

The team is currently made up of the following Mr Bolaji Yusuf (Program Director.), Mrs Toyosi Yusuf (Secretary), Mr Wale Bakers( Public Relation Manager), Mr Moses Bamidele(  Operation manager)
