Pray For Akeredolu’s Recovery, Support Aiyedatiwa, Olateru-Olagbegi Charges

A Prince of Owo kingdom, Prince Nekan Olateru-Olagbegi has appealed to the people of Ondo State to collectively pray for the quick recovery of ailing Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

He made the appeal on Tuesday in Akure, the state capital, while addressing newsmen.

Olateru-Olagbegi, who was a governorship aspirant in the governorship election in the state, appealed to the people of state to set aside political or religious leanings and pray for the governor.

He also implored the politicians and people of the state to support the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who is currently running the state in acting capacity pending the return of Governor Akeredolu, so that the state could move forward.

Olateru-Olagbegi cautioned that the distraction being faced by the Acting Governor would deter any form development in the state.

According to him, “I want to appeal to our people to let us collectively pray for our governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for quick recovery.

“Rumour mongers should desist from spreading unfounded claims on the health condition of the governor. Instead, they should set aside their differences in terms of politics or religion and pray for the governor.

“I also want to implore people at the corridor of power and political gladiators in the state to join hands with the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who is currently the acting governor of the state for the state to move forward.

“The series of political manipulations ongoing in the state serve as detraction to the acting governor and won’t be able to concentrate on governance pending the return of his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to the state.”
