Ondo NUJ applauds Crest FM over professionalism

Crest FM has been described as the leading radio station which has become a household name in Ondo State, and by extension, South-West Nigeria.

The Chairman, Ondo state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) comrade Adetona Aderoboye gave the description when the management team of crest FM led by the stations’ Chief Operations Officer, Adeolu Gboyega paid a courtesy visit to executives of the Union at the NUJ secretariat.

The visit was an avenue for members of the stations’ management team to officially familiarize themselves with executives of the Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ) in the state.

Crest FM’s General Manager Adeolu Gboyega who described the visit as home-coming, said the move became imperative for the management team to identity with the union.

He solicited the support of the union in achieving the stations’ mandate of being voice to the voiceless and uphold professionalism in its programmes and news presentation.

Mr Gboyega also cleared the air on different rumours going round about the station, saying crest FM’s door is always open to all and sundry.

On his part, the state NUJ chairman, Adetona Aderoboye said Crest FM has become the latest darling in town, due to the array of professionals it parades.

Mr Aderoboye while calling on the station to always uphold the ethics of the profession, assured the management team of the union’s unflinching support.

He also charged the station never to lose focus, adding that the journey to the greatest height has just begun.
