ONDO 2020:EYITAYO JEGEDE’S VICTORY IS INEVITABLE-SHOWUNMI

The People Democratic Party (PDP) has continued to intensify its efforts to ensuring the victory of its candidate in the October 10 gubernatorial election in Ondo State. Mr Segun Shohunmi, the Spokesperson of the Atiku Presidential Campaign and Leader Of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State today the 27th of September 2020 addressed newsmen in the state on various questions surrounding its candidate Eyitayo Jegede SAN, his chances and what he brings to the table even as he contents for the Alagbaka Government House Akure, Ondo State. According to him, the purpose of the event is discuss the mission of the party in Ondo State as well as differentiate what the Party’s Candidate stands for in the forthcoming election in the state which makes it different from all other Political Parties in the State. He stated that the Party is expecting a free and fair election in the state just as it had in Edo State, and this is why they have decided to acquaint the good people of the state more about the Party and the various plans of its candidate for the State Responding to questions on loss of Eyitayo Jegede SAN in the last gubernatorial election in the State to the incumbent Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, and what has changed between then and now for the PDP Gubernatorial aspirant as he contents the office again, Mr Shohunmi replied that the previous loss of Eyitayo Jegede SAN was attributed to the fact that the party was rocked with internal crisis which affected its performance before the election and went on to negatively affect the outcome of the election. However he explained that the difference this year is that the Party is united more than before as its members are with a common sense of purpose and commitment towards one common goal and objective which is ensuring the victory of Eyitayo Jegede SAN come October 10 in Ondo State. He further added that with the hope and its expectations from the Independent National Electoral Commission to conduct a free and fair election in the state as it had previously done in Edo State, the party is confident that his victory at the October 10 poll is inevitable.
