ONDO 2020: HAUSA/AREWA COMMUNITY IN ONDO DECLARES TOTAL SUPPORT FOR GOV. AKEREDOLU

A big boost has come the way of governor Rotimi Akeredolu second term ambition as Hausa community in Ondo state declared support for his reelection bid.

According to them, they joined several ethnic groups residing in Ondo state to declare their support for the reelection bid of the governor as a recognition of his visible and landmark achievements across all sectors of the state.

The Hausas, led by their leaders and Sherik across the 18 local government areas of the state, described the Governor Akeredolu led administration as peaceful and accommodating.

The Chairman, Hausa/Arewa Community in the state, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaibu Lawal, said the Hausas resolved to vote massively for Governor Akeredolu because of his sterling performances and interventions in areas that affects their daily trades and businesses.

He said:”Our people are traders and business owners. Before you came into government, bringing goods into Ondo state from up North was always a major problem. Most times, our people will have to pass through Osogbo.

“But when you came on board, you fixed the Oke-Alabojuto hilly road. You didn’t only bring it to ground level, you also dualized it. You also fixed the Oke- Oka road. That is a road that have claimed the lives and trailers of our people.

“The Ore flyover bridge has saved our lives and trades. There is no longer the issue of frequent accident and police cases arising from accident and knock down of our people. The Ore flyover is saving lives. For all these and many more, we are voting for you massively come October 10, 2020.”

Also speaking at the occasion, the chairman of Civil society and support group under the Akeredolu campaign council chief Alex Ajipe thanks the hausa community in the state for coming out to support the governor.

Ajipe said more friendly programs is under way for all non indigenes leaving in the state if Akeredolu win second term in office.

Responding, Governor Akeredolu thanked the Hausas, assuring that his administration will not disappoint them if re-elected.

Governor Akeredolu said the Hausas are part of the people of the state, stating that their contributions to the growth and progress of the state will not he forgotten.
