Human Rights Activist and Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council for Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko, Dr. Tunji Abayomi has described the wife of Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate in forthcoming 2023 general election., Mrs. Oluremi Tinubu as a woman with vast experience and deep compassion whose life could be used in the service of humanity.
Abayomi in a statement titled “Let Us Also Speak About The Wife” said Mrs Oluremi Tinubu is a woman of much humility, depth, determination and deliverable capability.
According to him, “I found a very strong and stable woman who can stand as a good representative of the great Women of Nigeria, a teacher, philanthropist, a woman who moves well, looks well and talks well.
The constitutional lawyer said, “I came to the conclusion after the thirty minutes interaction which ended with a gift of her Christian faith book that our Nation will definitely be happy to welcome Senator Mrs Oluremi Tinubu, as her first lady.
His words: “All married men know the strong, often quiet influence of the Commander of the home front, the one we often call the wife. So let me tell you my impressions on meeting Mrs Oluremi Tinubu the wife of my Candidate Governor Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“I had seen her on many occasions but neither desired nor had the opportunity to deeply study the former Lagos State first lady. But now her husband wants to be President over us so i was characteristically determined to interact with her and know about her.
“The wife is the most important companion in woman with vast experience and deep compassionthe lonely job of leadership. The last friend before sleep takes over and the earliest aide before the morning heralds the day.
“The influence of perceptive wives cannot be underestimated. They warn you before danger comes, they remind you that you’re still human. They smoothen the rough edges when the leader misbehaves. They smile to diffuse hostile sentiments. They nose around like secret servants to make sure the leader is not hated. Above all they pray for guidance.
“My meeting with Mrs Tinubu was as a Guest in Bourdillon. Unknown to her, she was my school book. Has fame and fortune turned her wrongly? Has she the required disposition and firmness to advise a President? Is she compassionate enough to add value? How about the guidance of intelligence and intuition”?
