The recent experience in Akoko North East/ North West Federal Constituency is one which brings out the true beauty of a good and democratic process. One which is inspired by its Federal Lawmaker, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo who is currently representing the constituency at the House of Representatives.
While many over the years have given themselves to making baseless excuse, while others in time past have created a culture of erecting white elephant projects for their people, here comes a lawmaker who has come to change the narrative.
Right before the eyes of the people, he came few years ago, seeking their mandate, and right before their eyes, he began writing an amazing story, inspired by his utmost love for his people.
While every nook and cranny of the Constituency bears his wonderful mark, he has continued to build on his many successes. His achievements has already defied the People’s expectations,roads that the people thought would never be constructed were constructed with ease, while projects which seemed impossible were done to the admiration of all.
His achievements within the Educational sector is a beautiful sight to behold. Staying true to his campaign promises, he has created an environment for education to thrive in Akoko North East/North West.
He has donated educational materials to all public secondary schools in his constituency and facilitated the construction of modern classrooms in public schools to make learning conducive.
BTO also gave scholarship to fatherless undergraduates from Ajowa, and he remains committed to the payment of indigent students’ school fees. For those yet to be admitted into any institution of learning, the quintessential lawmaker obtained and distributed more than 1000 JAMB forms and enrolled hundreds of students in computer training.
Most recently is the latest announcement of a Fifty Million Naira (N50M) Scholarship Scheme for Students of Tertiary Institutions in the Federal Constituency.
The Education Support drive is to help reduce the burden of education on the parents and also ensure that no child is denied access to quality education.
The registration for the Scholarship Scheme will commence on Monday, 15th of August 2022 for indigent Students who are from the Federal Constituency.
