Obaseki, Makinde to lead PDP campaign council for Ondo bye-election

The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party Tuesday approved the nomination of the Governors of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, and Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, to co-chair the newly constituted campaign council for Ondo State bye-elections.

The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, disclosed this in a statement he signed late Tuesday titled ‘PDP constitutes campaign council for Ondo bye-elections.’

The statement read in part, “The National Working Committee of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party has approved the nomination of the following party members as members of the National Campaign Council/Election Management Team for the Akure North/Akure South Federal Constituency Bye-election scheduled for Saturday, February 26, 2022, in Ondo State.”

Members of the committee include Godwin Obaseki as Chairman, Seyi Makinde as Co. Chairman, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Eyitayo Jegede, Debo Ologunagba, Omolade Oluwateru, Mutitat Ladoja, Biodun Olujimi, Fadahunsi Adenigba, Akinyelure Ayo, Tofowomo Nicholas, Balogun Ademola, Abdel Majid Adekola, Tajudeen Obasa, Akinjo Victor, Ikengboju Dele, Clement Faboyede, Festus Akingbosa, Rasheed Elegbeleye, Omolase Lanre, Sikirulai Ogundele, Fatai Adams, Sunday Bisi, Dayo Ogungbenro, Julius Akinsola, and Adesoji Adagunodo as Secretary.


The Directorate of Organisation and Mobilisation shall serve as the Secretariat for the Council, according to the statement.
