A Member of Ondo State House of Assembly representing Akoko South West 1 and the Chairman House Committee on Information,Youth and Sports Development,Akogun Olugbenga Omole has thrown his weight behind Otunba Dele Ajayi as the right candidate for the Nigeria Football Federation from Ondo State.
The lawmaker urged stakeholders to see the quality representation Otunba Dele Ajayi will bring if elected to the NFF as First Vice President.
Omole dropped the hint while responding to newsmen during an oversight function to the Sports Council at the Akure Sport Stadium.
Omole emphasized the depth of experience of Ajayi while serving as a state and National Football Administrator which have positioned him as the right candidate for the job.
Otunba Dele Ajayi will ensure the relevance of Ondo State in the scheme of things in Nigeria’s football space,a void which has caused the state monumental losses in the past.
Omole also stated that the benefits that will accrue to the state when Ajayi is eventually elected is monumental.
He stated some of the benefits as getting FIFA goal project to Ondo State,upgrades of Ondo State referees to FIFA badged ones, appointment of Ondo State indegenes into CAF, FIFA, NFF important committees etc
The lawmaker noted that other states have begun campaign and endorsements for their candidates and so Ondo State must intensify efforts to place the right candidate in the office.
