MAY DAY: ONDO LAWMAKERS RAISE HOPE OF STRIKING PASAN, JUSUN MEMBERS

Workers in Ondo State have been commended for their resilience and understanding in the face of current global economic downturn.

In a May Day statement signed by Chairman House Committee on Information, Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Olugbenga Omole, Lawmakers in the Ondo State House of Assembly enjoined workers to continue to make commitment and diligence their guiding principle.

Speaking through the Speaker, Rt Honourable Oleyelogun Bamidele David, the Lawmakers commended the working spirit of the workforce even in the face of all odds.

Oleyelogun pledged readiness of the Honourable Members to work with the executive arm towards making life worth living for workers in Ondo State.

Speaking on the current strike by members of the Parliamentary Staff Association and the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, the Speaker told members to exercise patience as their demands are currently receiving government attention as he appealed to them to call off the strike.

The Speaker was optimistic that their demands would soon yield a positive result.

According to him “There is always light after the tunnel.”

While commending the maturity of the Leadership and members of the two unions, Oleyelogun was hopeful of a positive response from concerned authorities.
