Teach us to number our days that we might apply ourselves unto the path of wisdom, even as the family of the Akinmades celebrate one of theirs, their beloved Kayode Akinmades who clocks 54 years on the 9th of January 2021, the encomiums are unending as they celebrate the grandeur of the Divine over the life of Kayode Akinmade who continues to celebrate more of life in good health and prosperity.When we consider the various state of world, the numerous sad reports of people dying even before they attain the prime of their years, those who gets the grace to celebrate the gift of life everyday needs to roll out the drums, singing songs of praises, not just to celebrate the gift of life but also the faithfulness of the God who over these decades have made living indeed a worthwhile sojourn.To have attained the age of 54years is no small feat, it is no small piecemeal, Kayode Akinmade continues to bask in the euphoria of Divine, against the expectations of the public, he indeed defied the odds to creating for himself a beautiful story of brilliance, tenacity and consistency.As he celebrates 54 years on the surface of the earth, he is not just celebrating the years, but he is also celebrating the years of hard work, the sight of failures but the inevitable shouts of victories.The former Ondo State Commissioner for information must have every reason to appreciate his creator for the grace to have weathered the storms of and still waxing strong.Hon. Akinmade Kayode born in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo state. He had his primary and secondary schools education in the state before proceeding to the old Ondo State University of Ado-Ekiti, now Ekiti State University where he studied and bagged Bachelors of Arts Degree in English and Literary Studies in 1992. He also studied and bagged Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Lagos.Hon. Akinmade is also a graduate of the prestigious and highly competitive Nigeria Institute of Journalism where he bagged a Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Journalism in 1995. He is also an Alumnus of University of Pennsylvania where he studied Disputes and Conflict Management. He had earlier attended the Federal School of Art and Science, in Ondo town after the completion of his secondary school.He began his professional career in Journalism with the News Group where he served as the Lagos State House Correspondent between 1994 and 1996. He resigned his appointment with The News in 1996 to become an Assistant Editor with the now defunct Diet Newspaper till year 2000. Hon. Kayode later joined Tribune Group in January 2000 and left the popular print news giant in year 2007 having worked as the Lagos Bureau Chief. He subsequently got appointed as the Special Adviser on Media and Strategy to the former Speaker Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Dimeji Bankole. Akinmade meritoriously served in this capacity till 2010. He afterwards concentrated efforts on his media enterprise of Connect Communication. The most commendable performance of Akinmade in this initiative earned him the briefs of the Ondo State government on media and political matters. He equally got the briefs of Bi Courtney Construction Company Plc, Association of NAPEP automobile operators, WEMA Bank PLC, Media Consultant to Senator Gbemi Saraki and Media Consultant to the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs as well as Brigadier Gen. Buba Marwa (rtd) among others.Akinmade is a recipient of an award as Associate Member of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR). He is a devout Christian,A lover of sports, an ardent fan of Sunshine stars Football Club Akure and Chelsea Football Club of England. Akinmade loves to play Golf, Table Tennis and HockeyHe is a well cultured person who has a very deep appreciation of family value. Akinmade is married and blessed with very responsible children with good career prospects.As he celebrates his 54th birthday anniversary, it’s not surprising to see him boast of these numerous achievements as mentioned above, right from the onset, he has always showed and proven himself as not just another man out there, but as a special breed whose legacies can stand the test of time and fire
