It was a wide jubilation as Pastor Jide Ipinsagba on Saturday won the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Ondo North Senatorial Districts at the party’s primary held in Owo for 2023 general election.
Ipinsagba beat four other Aspirants to emerge winner.
Ipinsagba polled 268 votes to defeat his closest rival Ajipe Alex who had 57
Other aspirants, Rear Admiral Samuel Ilesanmi Alade (Rtd) recorded 7 votes, Elegbeleye Gbenga has 14 votes while 7 ballot papers were voided in the primary
However, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba while speaking shortly after announcement of the results, appreciated the party delegates who voted for him.
Some members of the party who were Ipinsagbe supporters who had waited patiently for the announcement of the results started to jubilation as they rolled out drums to celebrate the victory.
