Abiola Makinde, A member of the Federal House of Representatives, representing Ondo East and West Federal Constituency. One who’s highly noted for his goodwill across all climes and societal stratum, bringing a new narrative to the political landscape of the nation at large, he has redefined politics by complimenting good governance and leadership with various laudable projects and initiatives which had added value and positively impacted members of his constituency.
The Amiable member of the Federal House of Representatives holds sterling qualities which ranks him high among the few Progressive Nation’s Elites. He is a grassroot politicians who understands the need to bring the much needed dividends of democracy right to the doorstep of his people.
He celebrates his second year anniversary representing his federal constituency and it’s thus refreshing to realise that within the space of two years, he has done brilliantly well with sustainable and impactful projects, one which are strategically tailored to meet the needs of the people in the 21st century realities.
Among those numerous laudable projects are, his empowerment scheme which saw to the donation of items worth million of naira,these items includes Autobile Machines, Generators, Grinding Machine, Sewing Machines, Hair dryers, Agricultural Enhancement Mechanisms and Machinery of all sort.
During the donation of these items, he was recorded to have said, “My commitment to the Ondo Wealth Agenda which stands for Water,Education,Agriculture, Light, Training and Health is a motivating factor that this project is borne out of.”
He has continued to pursue this aforementioned mandate, being made evident with his numerous achievements, others are the ground breaking Event of the Proposed Modern Skill Acquisition Center at Adeyemi College of Education, a project which is expected to hone the skills of the youths and also ensure that there are different dimensions in the service they are able to render.
Adding to this is the commissioning of the NOS Solar-Powered Borehole in Ifore Community in Ondo. This community has been without any source of drinkable water supply for decades prior to this provision, it’s heartening to realize that men like Hon. Abiola Makinde stepped in to do the needful, putting smiles on the faces of members of his constituency with his well timed and community development project.
Also as part of his Wealth Agenda which formed a crucial part of his Ideology under the T agenda which stands for Training, he has seen to the training of 60 people under the Hon. Abiola Makinde Skill Acquisition program. The Skill program is yet another project that seeks to directly benefits the individuals after they undergo training by professionals who will be teaching them crafts of various types. He also commissioned the reopening of the recently reconstructed Akinwande Street in Ondo which has been cut off from its neighboring streets for over 9 years. Hon. Abiola Makinde also facilitated the completion of the recently constructed Primary School at Ajagbale Community in Oka, Ondo.
With the aforementioned projects and Initiatives among the numerous sustainable and Community development projects which has been brought into existence by the amiable Hon. Abiola Makinde within the space of two years. It is evident that his tenure so far has indeed been a successful one as he has to show for the mandate given to him by the people the much needed benefits and dividends of democracy and good representation. With his drive and motivation, it’s evident that he is poised to do more and better.
