“GOVERNOR AYEDATIWA HAS STARTED WELL” – Pastor Ola Amuda
Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Ayedatiwa has been high commended for the good initiatives he has taken since his assumption of Office as the Governor of Ondo State two months ago. The commendation came over the weekend from Pastor Ola Amuda; a community leader as well as one of the APC leaders in Akoko North West Local Government.
The former Aide to late Governor Olusegun Agagu identified three specific areas in which the Governor has done.
According to him ” First, I commend the Governor for being in the forefront of the near-perfect weeklong programme for the burial of late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu . All the programmes were well thought out and executed to plans. In Yoruba culture we say ” O se ehin Oga re daa daa”
Furthermore, Ola Amuda noted that Ayedatiwa has shown great dexterity, patience and a discerning mind, to have waited till the final burial of his former Boss Late Governor Akeredolu before declaring his intention to contest the next Governorship election in the State; in spite of the pressure of time. To me, he has shown great respect for the memory of the late Governor .
Reacting to some of the decisions so far taken by the Governor within his 60 days in office, Ola Amuda noted that ” I am particularly impressed by the decision of Mr Governor to continue the programmes and projects initiated by late Governor Akeredolu especially on infrastructure development. These include the continuation of the on-going roads construction like the Akure to Oda town ( the flag off of the Oda to Oke Langbodo road project), the continuation of the Igoba township Road as well as Ogbagi to Arigidi Akoko Road, among others “
” It is guite interesting that the Governor has also settled the outstanding one month salary for the State Civil Servants, paid three out of ten months outstanding salaries to the Staff of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic as well as touching other sensitive areas in the lives of the good people of Ondo State.”
He concluded that, the Governor has started well and advised that His Excellency should continue to pursue programmes and policies that will cushion the present economic hardship in the lives of our people. He appealed to the Governor should strive to settle the outstanding seven months salary to the Workers of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic and attend to the critical situations in other Institutions of higher learning and health sector in the State .
Finally he appealed to the good people of Ondo State to continue to give him their support and pray for his success in the coming Governorship election in the State.
