A former federal lawmaker, Hon. Mike Omogbehin, on Friday, commiserated with His Excellency Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, over the recent passing of his mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede Akeredolu.

In a condolence letter written to Governor Akeredolu, Omogbehin, who represented Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency between 2015 and 2019, urged the Governor and his siblings to take consolation in the fact that she lived a life of service to the God and human race, and also died at a ripe old age.

“The loss of any of our parents is always a painful thing. I know how it feels because I have experienced that before. But we must always take solace in the lives our parents lived and recall memories of the times together.

“The spartan life of Mama also enabled her by God’s grace to raise eminent men and women who equally made a mark in their various chosen careers in politics, academics and social life.

“We thank God almighty for sustaining her long enough in the land of the living before she took her exit on Thursday, September 15, 2023, into His Bosom to rest at a ripe age of 96 years.

Continuing, the ex-lawmaker said “Mama has carved a niche for herself on good parenting and we give glory to God for crowning her efforts with huge success, and for granting her fullest joy over her children.

“Her fulfilled life is certainly worthy of celebration. As she takes her well-deserved rest. I pray that the good Lord will bless and keep the entire family in joy and a stronger bond of oneness as you find the strength to bear this irreparable loss”, he said.
