ORU IJEBU, OGUN STATE – The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has announced the Federal Government’s Plan to Construct Ago Iwoye, Ijebu Igbo, and Mamu Roads

The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has revealed that the Federal Government will be undertaking the construction of Ago Iwoye, Ijebu Igbo, and Mamu roads. This momentous announcement was made during the 10th Coronation anniversary and 70th birthday celebration of the Oloru of Oru Ijebu, His Royal Highness, Oba (Dr.) Abdur-Razaq Olufemi Adebanjo (Okikiopekun, Yangunsen 1).

Governor Abiodun, led the State Cabinet to the joyous occasion yesterday, where he addressed the gathering on the significance of infrastructural development in fostering economic growth and social progress. Recognizing the importance of these roads in connecting various communities, the Governor expressed his gratitude to the Federal Government for their commitment to this project.

In the entourage of the Governor was the Deputy Governor Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr Oluwatoyin Taiwo, Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Senator Shuaib Salisu, Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, Commissioner for Agriculture, Mr Bolu Owotomo, Special Advisers and other cabinet members.

The Governor said, “The construction of the Ago Iwoye, Ijebu Igbo, and Mamu roads will undoubtedly improve transportation networks within Ogun State. It will enhance accessibility, facilitate economic activities, and uplift the standard of living for the residents of these communities. As this vital infrastructure takes shape, it will open up opportunities for businesses to thrive, bolster tourism, and attract investments to the state.

Governor Abiodun reiterated his administration’s commitment to providing quality infrastructure across the state, with a focus on connecting and improving the lives of the people. He believes that a well-connected network of roads is paramount to achieving sustainable development and creating an enabling environment for both residents and investors.

Furthermore, the Governor expressed his profound gratitude to His Royal Highness, Oba Abdur-Razaq Olufemi Adebanjo, for his remarkable leadership and contributions to the development of Oru Ijebu and Ogun State as a whole. He commended the monarch’s efforts in promoting peace, unity, and progress in the community.

“The government will work closely with the Federal Ministry of Works to ensure the timely commencement and successful completion of the Ago Iwoye, Ijebu Igbo, and Mamu road projects. Governor Abiodun reassured the community that his administration would continue delivering on its promises, leveraging partnerships with the royal fathers and stakeholders.
