Festus Adefiranye: A lawmaker par excellence

News

Hon. Festus Ayodele Adefiranye, an engineer by training, currently serves as the lawmaker representing Ileoluji Okeigbo/Odigbo constituency in the 10th National Assembly.

A man imbued with integrity, intellect, political sagacity and tenacity of purpose to touch lives is committed to improving the lives of his constituents

In the various State Houses of Assembly and the National  Assembly, many members merely warm their seats. For the former Assembly member in Ondo State, however, he has genuine reasons to be in the National Assembly, and the reason is to serve the good people of his Federal Constituency. He sees politics as a call to National Service.

Hon. Adefinranye is a highly cerebral figure and successful businessman who joined active politics to serve the common interest of the generality of the citizenry. He’s been giving his best shot and to God be the glory, he has done well so far.

On the 25th day of October, 2023, Adefiranye sponsored the Federal College Of Nursing and Midwifery, Oke Igbo, Ondo state establishment Bill. The Federal College of Nursing and Midwifery Bill seeks to establish a school of Nursing and Midwifery in Oke Igbo, Ondo State is to prepare competent, skilled, versatile and independent midwifes, capable of providing high level health care to individuals and expectant families in their homes, communities, hospitals, rural and urban health centers of the society, for optimal infant, maternal, family and societal.

Nurses advocate for health promotion, educate patients and the public on the prevention of illness and injury, provide care and assist in cure, participate in rehabilitation, and provide support. No other health care professional has such a broad and far-reaching role. It seeks to offer more educational opportunities, most especially in the area of healthcare to the state and beyond.

If service to the people is a major yardstick with which a politician’s role in the society should be measured, Hon. Adefiranye has surpassed expectations in his short stint. We need more of him in our body polity to make life meaningful for all.
