Dorian Home Celebrates Two Years of Selfless Services To Humanity

The founder of Dorian Home for Charity and Social Development, Akure, Dr Tolulola Olajibike Bayode will be joining by joined by dignitaries from all parts of Nigeris and abroad on Thursday, December 14, 2023 to celebrate two years of uncompromised service to humanity.

Dorian Home has been known in the last two years for offering the orphaned and vulnerable children a safe space where their overall wellbeing will be assured.
The top notch and first of its kind Dorian Home is committed to redefining charity and social welfare. The Home also offer orphaned and vulnerable children access to basic human needs, quality education, health care, psychosocial support and essential developmental skills needed for life’s success.

Dorian Home has in the last two years housed close to 50 orphaned and vulnerable children. It also has another arm of Dorian Home Skills Acquisition Centre where hundreds of women had thus far acquired necessary skills that have made them to become self sustaining and financially independent.

The Dorian Home project is envisioned to be a long-term project which aims to cater for orphaned and vulnerable children through their most critical formative years; from 0 to 18 years, when they must have become old enough to cater for themselves. The vision of Dorian Homes was conceived by Dr Bayode to ensure that children in the facility would find a Home away from home. She also envision the Dorian Home to ensure that the children would
experience comfort and peace in an environment that will sufficiently nurture them to become mentally and emotionally sound while being nationally and globally relevant.

The Dorian Home founder had also envisioned to create an avenue where less-privileged widows will also have the opportunity to acquire skills that will help them fend for themselves. Undoubtedly, lives have thus far been shaped while destinies have equally been moulded at the Dorian Home in the last two years.

It is however most inspiring that the selfless, unwavering and resolute efforts of Dr Tolulola Bayode that have been focused on impacting humanity was recently appreciated in the far away United States of America. She was lately conferred with a Lifetime Achievement Award of the United States of America President. The award is truly well deserved by the medical doctor in whose veins flow the blood of kindness and humanity.

Nigerian foremost celebrity, politician and publisher of Ovation magazine, Aare Dele Momodu recently gave an inspiring testimony concerning Dr Tolulola Bayode and her Dorian Home. The media entertainer revealed that he was sent a touching message by a woman in Idanre Local Government of Ondo State.
The Ovation publisher went ahead that the woman sent the message because she became worried by the plight of an 11-year-old boy that was sent out of the house and driven to the streets for self+survival by his biological father.

The message sent to Aare Dele Momodu by the Idanre woman reads, “Good morning sir. My name is Oluwakemisola and am chatting from Idanre. Sir, I am chatting you on behalf of a 11-year-old boy whose parent sent out because his mother left his father to start a prostitution job.

“She said the boy is a baggage for her and for four days now the boy has been sleeping in shops,sawmill or uncompleted buildings and not going to school or eating.

“Please sir, we soliciting for help to either refer us to an orphanage home or any help whatsoever sir just to take him off the street, so he won’t think of doing something stupid or joining bad gangs or even kidnapped..”

Dele Momodu said he initially became confused and was surprised how the woman got his number. But he went ahead to watch video of the little boy and became heartbroken thereafter. He confessed that the boy still managed to look smart, confident and hopeful even in spite of his desperate state.

The former PDP presidential aspirant also revealed that he thereafter swung into action by placing a call to Dr Tolulola Bayode of Dorian Homes, which is evidently a top notch orphanage on the border of Akure and Idanre. He further testified that Dr. Bayode, in a matter of minutes agreed to accept the stranded boy while the paperworks expeditiously became completed in the afternoon of same day.

Aare Dele Momodu thereafter wrote, ” DR TOLULOLA BAYODE, how can I ever thank you enough… I will make my own contributions towards supporting DORIAN HOMES, by the grace of almighty GOD… May God continue to bless you mightily… “.

In a manner that was most unprecedented, Dr Tolulola Bayode took her passion for humanity to an entirely new dimension when she celebrated her last birthday. The medical doctor turned philantropist put smiles on the faces of hundreds of Ondo State people when she gave them economic lifelines.She donated a well furnished police post to the Ondo State Police Command in commemoration of her birthday this year.

She also celebrated her birthday this year with the generous donations of
100 motorcycles, 50 sewing machines, 50 dryers amongst other items to persons that were genuinely in need of the items. She had also gone a step further with the donation of several motorcycles to the Ondo State Police Command.

In addition, Dr Bayode had also recently donated a 4 bedroom with modern structure to St John Anglican church, Oba-Ile in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State. She has however in spite of all these, pledged to continue with her support for humanity so as to make the world a better place.

Dorian Home, founded by Dr Tolulola Bayode is an ultramodern facility that is worth close to $5million. It is actually the biggest home in the African continent as it consists of hundreds of homes for children, 500-capacity skill acquisition centre for women, large hall for events, modern clinic and a worship centre.

The Dorian Home is however, not limited to taking care of just the abandoned babies, vulnerable children and widows alone; but it is equally focused on research, training, empowerment and mobilizing women towards self-emancipation.

The trained medical professional is indeed a humanitarian per excellence and she is also imbued with an unusual passion for the well being of the less privileged. She is also known to share an uncanny obsession of giving abandoned children and widows another shot at life. Dr Tolulola Bayode was on October 9, 2020 appointed as the Deputy Head, Social Director by the Africa Union. She has traveled across the world to render selfless social and humanitarian services.

The Dorian founder is popularly addressed as the Iyalaje Tolulola Olajibike Bayode by her admirers. The untiring lover lover of humanity was born in Akure and hails from Oba-Ile, in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo Stare. She was born into the family of Chief Joseph Bayode and Pastor Mrs Bayode.
