…..APPLAUDS THE EMERGENCE OF ELEGBELEYE AS NFF VICE PRESIDENT/NPFL BOSS.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State Council wishes to congratulate a federal lawmaker, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo ‘BTO’, on his nomination as minister-designate of the Federal Republic Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hon. Tunji-Ojo, the lawmaker representing Akoko Northeast/Northwest Federal Constituency at the National Assembly is one of the ministerial nominees due for screening by the Senate.

We have no doubt that his giant strides as a federal lawmaker with impactful projects in his federal constituency in the last four years earned him the new elevation.

We are more convinced that he will do well as a Minister considering the fact that he bagged the Ondo NUJ Award of the Best Performing Federal Lawmaker from Ondo State two years ago.

NUJ Ondo State Council expresses confident in the ability of the Minister-designate to make a difference by bringing to the State the much desired dividends of democracy from the federal level, judging by his excellent performances at the lower chamber of the National Assembly.

Similarly, NUJ, Ondo State Council also congratulates one of its Life Patrons, Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye on his recent appointment as the Substantive Chairman of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NFPL) and Second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF.

Hon. Elegbeleye remains the first indigene of Ondo State to attain the two key revered positions in the history of Nigerian football.

It is the hope of Ondo State Journalists that the NFPL Chairman will use his new positions to ensure sports development especially, football in the Sunshine State.

Once again while Congratulating both Hon Tunji-Ojo and Hon Elegbeleye, Ondo NUJ charges them not to disappoint the good people of Ondo State and Nigerians in general, even as they continue to count on the support of the media.
