Be Agents of Transformation, Rev. Andrew Omotoso advises Youths

News

Youths have been called upon to fulfill their God-Given role of being the Change Agents in their communities particularly in their nation.

The Founder of The Encouragers Ministry, Rev. Andrew Omotoso who gave this advice while speaking on the programmes being put in place for the youth by his ministry said if the youths are committed to playing that role, they will not simply conform to things which cry out for change in their respective communities.

According to him, If they are aware of their true identity, they will know that they are not helpless and that they have power: power to build not to destroy, power to change not to accept and manage what needs to be changed and can change with their God-given power.

“If the youth is able to play their rightful role, only then they will fully aware of their true identity. Once they know and are willing to operate from the position of their true identity, it will be easy for them to live lives of starling and unshakeable integrity.

“To rediscover their identity, the youth must reject an identity of the ‘victim’ and resume their identity of the ‘victor’. They must reject the identity of the ‘weak’ and ‘helpless’ and put on the identity of the ‘strong’ and the “Change Agent” for their community.

“In order to prepare the Youth listeners or readers of this program, the following Truths will be expanded in future publications;
That in folklore and in History, The Youth have always led the way to community and nation change in times of disaster such as we are going through now: programs that will soon be unfolded for the Youth” he said

Rev. Andrew Omotoso implored parents not to let work hinder them from taking care of their children saying that parents should guide their children properly so they would follow the right path religiously.

“We should not only teach our female children to be patient alone,, the boys and young men should also learn to be patient. Everything that one is yet to attain, one will attain it eventually in abundance,” he said.

The clegyman however urged religious leaders to resist being seduced by money and weigh in with candid sermons to youths against sinful acts.

“If a wayward 25-year-old rides in a jeep and drops money, they should say something so that the young person would not consider what they are doing as something good. A 25-year-old that brings three jeeps and claims they want to do thanksgiving, what type of thanksgiving do they want to do. What exactly is your profession?” he added

Rev. Andrew Omotoso however announced that the Encourager Ministry is organizing a Singles’ Retreat for the youths themed: “Divine Connection” which would hold on 10th to 12th December 2021

“We are also advocating improved provisions for youths, especially in the area of technology, for economic growth and development.”

He therefore implored religious leaders not to twist the word of God but to say it as it is.
