Members of the APC caucus in the Ondo State House of Assembly have empathised with the State Party Chairman Engineer Ade Adetimehin following the arson attack on the State Party Secretariat and Aketi Campaign Office (Ibigiga Office) in Akure.

Last week, youths across the country embarked on EndSARS protest to call for an end to police brutality.

The protest was however hijacked by hoodlums during which public and private properties were looted and buildings torched.

The party Secretariat and Aketi Campaign Office 2020, came under attack by hoodlums during last week EndSARS protests by the youth across the country.

Speaking during the visit, Speaker of the House, Rt Honourable Oleyelogun Bamidele David condemned the attack on the party Secretariat.

He called on the state government and the security agencies to unravel those behind the mindless attack on the Party Secretariat with a view to bringing them to book.

Oleyelogun called on youths to always channel their grievances peacefully adding that nothing meaningful can be achieved through violence.

The Speaker who also, expressed his profund condolence to the families of fallen law enforcement agents and civilians, also condemned the acts, as he called for thorough investigation of criminal acts witnessed in the last two weeks.

In his response, the party Chairman, Engineer Ade Adetimehin thanked the Lawmakers for showing concern for the party leadership.

While pledging support for legitimate agitation by the youth, the Chairman called on them to always thread a peaceful course.
