AREWA GROUP ADOPT FAYEMI/ EL-RUFAI CANDIDACY

• Tinubu Camp opts for Regional Party

• PDP banks on Atiku and Tambuwal to retain northern support

While Political Parties have already began making arrangements over who will lead their respective parties in the conduct of the next presidential election in Nigeria which is scheduled for the year 2023, there’s been various permutations to these effect on both sides.

Information gathered by Triangle News Media reports that the Arewa group have set their sight on the Candidacy of the Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi and the Kaduna State Governor El-Rufai to lead the Party frontline in the next Presidential election in Nigeria.

Important Party bigwigs and Powerful Forces within the Presidency Camp were reported to have picked Kayode Fayemi to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari

It’s gathered that Governor Kayode Fayemi was in Kaduna at the Arewa’ s meeting today, 31st of October 2020 where this was further discussed.

According to the report, this development is said to have raised eyebrows in the camp of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who are visibly not happy with the plan of the Arewa group.
Elders in the Afenifere were stated to be pushing for a young candidate to support in the 2023 presidential election

The recent ENDSARS event which happened Lagos State is said to have put a big blemish on ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

It’s also reported that the Tinubu plan are planning to resort to a plan B which will see to the formation of a Regional Party come 2023. This they intend to use to negotiate terms to their favor come 2023.
Meanwhile the People’s Democratic Party are said to be looking forward to having a Tambuwal and Atiku Candidacy to carry the party’s flag in the next Presidential election as they intend to retain popular support in the North.

Some Yoruba Elders have been reported to be playing along with the plan while they hope that either a sitting Governor or an Ex Governor will fly the Party’s Flag in the Presidential Election
