Appreciation To All
Please find space to accommodate my little appreciation to the membership of the Ibe Day Planning Committee ably led by Senior High Chief Bibopere Ajube. The outcome of the planning and implementation of all outlined activities was profoundly awesome.
Notwithstanding my co-opted status, I have been privy to all deliberations, especially on the Group Platform from inception to the Grand Finale. I witnessed a high level of transparency, efficiency, selflessness and commitment on the part of the Chairman as well as individual members of the Planning Committee. It was, collectively, a proud outing with demonstrated capacity.
Although exigencies of national assignments disrupted my plans, I had an unquenchable thirst to be on ground for so many reasons aside the usual need for every Son and Daughter of the IBE to be at Arogbo, our traditional headquarters. Of importance is that: while this is the first IBE DAY to be celebrated since my election as a member of the House of Representatives, being the first in the annals of our KINGDOM, it is indeed the first our revered Senior High Chief will offer to pilot. What about the uniqueness associated with the celebration as the first to be savoured by our newly-crowned Traditional Rulers in the Kingdom?
But of huge thanks to God is the marked significance of the grand home-coming of a brother, one of Ijaw Nation’s leading lights, Hon. Kingsley Kemebradigha Kuku, PhD. This glorious and emotional moment is not a mere coincidence with the various firsts mentioned above. It affirms God’s inexorable Love for him and our Kingdom even as it underscores his (Kuku’s) immeasurable contribution to the development of our Land.
As brothers, Patriots and political leaders, ours shall be to crave for the best for our Kingdom irrespective of partisan persuations, to take the Kingdom beyond today’s achievements and development. We need ourselves in this regard in all ways, always. KK, you’re welcome back home, particularly into the warmth of a caring Mother’s arms.
I congratulate our Most Revered AGADAGBA, His Imperai Majesty Z D Egbunu, JP, Opukutu III for all these fests. AGAAAADAGBA!!
