The House of Representatives member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency, Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has congratulated Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over the appeal court ruling that upheld his victory in the October 10, 2020 governorship election.

The lawmaker noted that the verdict is a clear indication that the Governor carries the mandate of the people of Ondo State making it impossible to overturn.

“If you monitor the case right from the tribunal to the appeal court, you will observe that there is nothing to hold on to as a reason to overturn the victory of the Governor.

“I want to congratulate the people of Ondo State and I’m convinced the victory will inspire him to do more,” he said.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on New Media, Alao Babatunde, BTO maintained that the result of the October 10, 2020 election remains undefeated even beyond the appellate court.
