A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Matthew Oyerinmade has affirmed that the ruling party, both in the State and Federal Governments, remains the political party to beat in any election, near or later.
Oyerinmade, famously called ‘Mato’ by his admirers urged stakeholders and party faithful to be steadfast and loyal to the party, stressing that those who are praying for the good of Isreal shall reap bountifully from the goodness therein.
The businessman turned politican stated this at a stakeholders’ meeting on Wednesday, when paying host to elders and leaders of APC in the Southern Senatorial District of Ondo State in his country home at Oke-Igbo, in Ileoluji/ Oke-Igbo council area of the State.
His words: “My party, your party, our party APC is the party to beat at any election nationwide, and we must ensure that our loyalty remains unshakeable, strong and solid so that we can all be partakers in it goodness and patronage in the coming political dispensation and beyond.
“My first priority as a partyman and leader of his people is to position everyone of us at a strategic post where we can take charge, function effectively well and thereafter reap bountifully from our commitment and strong support for the party.
“Our meeting today is mainly for us to coming together as a united political family, especially from this Senatorial District, in a quest to seek better representation of our people at both the State and National Assemblies, and more importantly to take the lead in leading our Sunshine State into more prosperiuos and purposeful developmental era of governance, come 2024 when the mantle of leadership shall fall on our Senatorial District.
“Starting from today as we’re departing from this meeting, we must all go out powerfully with all the political strength in us with the sole objective of changing the narrative to turn around the developmental and economic fortunes of our darling Southern Senatorial District by installing our representatives with proving ability, capacity and capability to make a difference.”
The seasoned community mobilizer and administrator enjoyed the team members to sacrifice their energy, resource and time to the new project yet-to-be unveiled, assuring them of bumper harvests and unquantifiable rewards and benefits.
Stakeholders at the meeting were drawn from the six local government areas that made up of the Ondo South Senatorial District namely; Ilaje, Ese-Odo, Irele, Okitipupa, Odigbo and Ileoluji/ Oke-Igbo.
They included former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Malachi, former honourable member representing Irele State Constituency, Hon. Afolabi Iwalewa, former council chairperson, Ese-Odo LGA, Hon. Mrs. Arinola Iji, her counterpart in Ilaje LGA, Ralph Moniye and immediate past senior assistant on political matters to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), Barrister Femi Okunjemiluwa.
Others are: Hon. Sunday Borire from Okitipupa, Chief Akeremale, Hon. Anjorin Coker and Hon. Martins Akinniyi from Oke-Igbo.
