Akure South/North Federal Constituency Bye Election: Good Representation is Assured with Hon Kemisola Adesanya
The beauty of democratic processes is truly established when it’s indeed a government of the people, by the people and for the people. In Akure South/North Federal Constituency, the last representative was indeed described as a man of the people who brought out the beauty of democracy and true representation for his people.
While his demise leaves a huge gap to be filled, the people who are the electorate needs no heavenly intervention or magical touch for them to bring once again to lead them, a true progressive and democrat, one who holds the love of the majority and commands respect from all sides.
Hon. Kemi Adesanya, a born achiever, brilliance personified who comes with a waves of amiable qualities which sets her unique amongst her peers. She’s a former member representing Akure South Constituency 1 at the Ondo State House of Assembly where she served for two terms. There she was also the House Chairperson on Women Affairs and Social Development.
During her term, she actively engaged polity as a viable tool for social and community development, and was considered one of the most proactive lawmaker at the Ondo State House of Assembly, she has to her credit several sponsored motions at the floor of the house, some of which are:
i. Importance and Preservation of Yoruba Indigenous Language and Yoruba Cultural Value System
ii. The relocation of Electric high tension wire that ran across the roof of Saint Stephen’s Primary School, Oke-Ijebu
iii. Motion for a Social Security Scheme in form of monthly monetary stipend to the army of unemployed youths in the Country
iv. Motion for tye siting of the Government Cancer Diagnostic Center (South West) in Ondo State
vi. Sponsoring, facilitating and implementing bills of current or emerging issues that affects the society and providing alternative solutions.
Despite being in a male dominated house of assembly, she has given her people more cogent reasons why she is the best fit to advance the Constituency at the Federal level.
Blemish free with no scandal to her name or person, her antecedents and records speaks more of a determined change maker, a pace setter and an undaunted comrade in the fight for better and quality representation.
Her contributions to community development and growth are made obvious through her active welfare program for the elderly, her grassroot emancipation for the women, widows empowerment, implementation of the child’s right law as constituted amongst others.
Akure South/North Federal Constituency at this critical stage of its history needs a candidate who is passionate about their interest and welfare, they need an individual who will rise above the waters of mediocrity and see to it that there’s an holistic transformation of the Constituency through polity.

Her leadership skills remains unrivaled as she is the PDP, Ondo State women leader, a platform which has enabled her to empower women in the state, giving them a platform to thrive and succeed
Her credibility is one which is not just vouched for by party members but by many across the political divide, it is on record that she has ensured a judicious and credible use of public funds for her Constituency while she represented them.
She has to her credit, the donation of motor cycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, blocks of classrooms, open market stalls, free supply of drugs and medical equipments to her people.
The people living with disabilities will forever remain grateful to her for her numerous and unending support, Hon. Kemisola has taken it upon herself to make donations of wheel chairs and other items to make life easier for them. She has also gone ahead to provide vocational trainings for the handicap, thanks to her, their lives has continue to see a massive positive transformation.
Among the youths in her Constituency, she has taken it upon herself to ensure that they are well empowered and actively engaged. She has been the major sponsor of the annual Kemisola Adesanya Football Competition in the State, she also doubles as the Director of, Nigerian Women Football League.
