ADELEGBE SALUTES AMOTEKUN FOR RESCUING KIDNAPPED VICTIMS IN ONDO, COMMENDS AKEREDOLU FOR THE INITIATIVE.

The federal lawmaker representing Owo/Ose federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Abuja, Hon. Timehin Adelegbe has commended the bravery displayed by the men of the Ondo state command of the South-West Security Network code-named “Amotekun” for the rescue of some kidnapped victims by bandits on Wednesday at the failed portion of the Idoani-Ifira Road in Akoko SE local government area of Ondo State.

Adelegbe, described the operations of Amotekun that led to the rescue of the defenceless victims as brave, courageous, decisive and rewarding saying, the security network has again gallantly demonstrated to the wide world that it is capable of providing a water tight security for the people of the region.

In the same vein, the lawmaker expresses joy and confidence in the leadership style of the governor of the state, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, for his wisdom in initiating the security outfit in conjunction with other Southwest governors to tackle problems of insecurity in the region.

In his words, “with all sense modesty, I must salute the courage of my boss, the Governor of the state, Arakunrin Akeredolu, for his ingenuity in initiating the establishment of “Amotekun”. There is nothing like security of lives and property which should be the priority of any responsible leader in the corridor of power. Akeredolu have shown statemanship, i commend him for that”

The APC Chieftain noted that the situation would have been disastrously messier if not for the proactive and bold steps taken by Akeredolu in proferring succor to the people.

“If not for the effort of the Amotekun who has been working assiduously since its creation, so many lives would have been wasted”

It would be recalled that The victims, who were passengers heading from Abuja to Lagos in an 18 seater bus, were attacked by the armed men between Idoani Ifira axis of the state.
