ADE ADENIYI : THE BELOVED AND OUTSTANDING ONDO POLITICIAN
One politician that is passionately loved by his people and needs no introduction at all in entire spread of Ondo East and West local government areas is Otunba Adeniji Adeniyi. He has succeeded in winning the hearts of both the young and the old through his attributes of philanthropy, hard work, innovation and records of performance in public offices.
He is popularly and better known by his friends, colleagues and supporters as Otunba Ade Adeniyi. His, is a name that opens doors anytime and command respect and enormous goodwill amongst the good people of Ondo. He is such a simple, amiable and highly respected complete gentleman. However, behind the facade of his facial simplicity are the rare character traits of integrity, diligence, perseverance and dynamism.
Hon. Adeniyi was once the Caretaker Chairman of Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State. He undoubtedly won the hearts of virtually all the residents of the town with his sterling achievements while he served in this capacity. Otunba Ade is also the immediate past Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB). He equally left no one in doubt of his ability to deliver and transform while serving as the SUBEB Chairman.
Hon. Adeniyi has equally contested and won election as a member representing Ondo West Constituency 1 at the Ondo State House of Assembly. He has also distinguished himself in the House with his legislative acumen and beneficial bills so far sponsored to better the lots of his immediate constituents and people of Ondo state at large.
Ade Adeniyi had a very successful career before venturing into politics. He had brief working stint with the Ondo State Teaching Service upon his graduation from the university in 1985. He did work as a teacher for almost four years before resigning his appointment in search of better career opportunities in Lagos. Adeniyi got employed as a General Manager by Tropicana Spa and Pools Construction, a company that specialized in the construction of swimming pools and sales of swimming equipment in the late 80s. The company eventually diversified by floating a private security outfit known as Corporate Guards as well as setting up of one of the best resort outfits in the burgeoning Lagos business environment in the late 80s and early 90s.
The dynamic nature of Ade Adeniyi and knack for greater success necessitated his resignation of appointment as the General Manager of Corporate Guards to set up his own security outfit known as KAGE Security Limited in 1995. KAGE Security is a highly successful security outfit with its headquarters in Lagos. Till date, the company specialises in the supply of security guards, dogs and modern security equipment to government and private establishments all over the country.
Otunba Adeniyi was born some five decades ago into the famous family of Chief and Mrs Adeniyi of Oke-Otunba in the heart of ancient Ondo town, in Ondo State. His late father, Chief Adeniyi, was a versatile public servant, a respected community leader on the socio-communal front and a firm disciplinarian on the home front. The young Adeniyi had the privilege of growing up under the tutelage of a father who was extremely caring and unrelenting in his abiding love for western education. He had his primary school education at St. Joseph’s Christ Apostolic Church(C.A.C) Primary School, Ondo and proceeded to St. Joseph’s College, Ondo for his secondary school education. Subsequently, Ade was offered admission at the Africa’s most beautiful campus, the University of Ife, (now Obafemi Awolowo University) where he graduated in 1985. He is also a Masters degree holder in Business Administration(MBA).
The innate versatility of Otunba Ade has turned him out to be highly successful in various fields of human endeavors which include science, business administration, politics, security and safety management amongst several others. He is a widely traveled man and a member of several professional bodies and associations that include International Professional Security Association, UK, American Society of Industrial Security,USA and the PENDITE Club of Ondo.
Ade Adeniyi is an ardent respecter of family values, which largely informs his exemplary success in marriage. His marriage has been richly blessed with responsible and reliable children with great career prospects
