AAUA: Coop. Societies Meets Mgt. Dissociate from Misappropation Claim

Leadership of the four cooperative societies (ASUU, SSANU, General and Security) of the Adekunle Ajasin university, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State, Nigeria, has dissociated from the rumour of misappropation in the university.

The unions described the story as unfortunate and appeal that people should be careful with what they post on the social media so that the artmosphere of peace in the university is not compromised.

In a released posted on the unions’ whatsapp platforms by the President of the SSANU Cooperative, Mr. Fagbolagun, the unions regretted that one of their members circulated the false claim of misappropriation.

“The statement reads, in part: “I want to appeal to everyone to be careful with what you post, this is our Jerusalem. The Vice Chancellor invited the Presidents of four cooperative societies (ASUU, SSANU, General and Security) to a meeting in his office today. The VC appreciated us for cooperating with him for the past five years, he promised to release a reasonable percentage of our deductions to us before next week Friday to enable us buy consumable items for our members.

“As the father of all, he promised to forgive one of us that posted the wrong information on the platform though he agreed that he was not the originator but he was disappointed him for spreading such news.”
