Eid el-Fitri:Ondo Assembly Greets Muslims,Urges Peace Among Religious Groups.

The Ondo State House of Assembly has congratulated Muslims across the globe on the conclusion of the thirty days Ramadan fast.

In a message to Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of the Eid el – Fitri celebration,Lawmakers in the Assembly enjoined Muslims to allow themselves to be guided by the experience of the Ramadan fast.

In the message signed by the Chairman,House Committee on Information Youth and Sports Development,Honourable Olugbenga Omole,the Lawmakers called on Muslims to embrace peace at all times as preached by the Holy Prophet Mohammed.

Speaking through the Speaker, Rt Honourable Oleyelogun Bamidele David,the Lawmakers urged Muslim faithful to cultivate a harmonious living with other religious faith as doing so would see the nation through its current travails.

Oleyelogun who expressed optimism of a greater tomorrow for Nigeria,enjoined Muslims and other religious groups to pray ceaselessly for the nation to overcome her current challenges.

While calling for a moderate celebration of the Eid el- Fitri, the Ondo Assembly Lawmakers urged Muslim faithful to be wary of the existence of the Indian variant of covid-19 in Nigeria and the need to observe all prescribed safety protocols.
