AKETI’S VICTORY : A SOUND OF JOYFUL MUSIC – Ola Amuda.
A former Aide to Late Dr Olusegun Agagu and a Member of the All Progressive Congress in the State, Pastor Ola Amuda while congratulating Arakunrin Akeredolu/ Ayedatiwa on their outstanding victory at the October 10 Governorship Election described the Victory as a “Sound of Joyful Music for the good people of Ondo State.”
He described the Election as being pleasant, free fair, peaceful, satisfactory, enjoyable, and arguably the best, and highly transparent election in the history of Ondo State and sang a song of appreciation thus :
“First, I have to thank the Almighty God for He answered the prayers the People of Ondo State offered to him for a peaceful, free and fair election. And secondly, I congratulate the people of Ondo State not only for such a peaceful and transparent election but also for providing the Governor the leeway for continuity of the good works his administration started since 2016.”
While congratulating the Aketi/Aiyedatiwa phenomenon, he commended the spirit of sportsmanship greatly exhibited by Arakurin Akeredolu before and throughout the election period.
He opined that ” I heartly congratulate the Governor and the Deputy Governor Elect and as I had stated recently, Aketi has blazed the trail and further by this election he has set very high standards to beat in the State. First, he pulled about 300,000 Votes. Secondly, he fulfilled more than the Constitutional requirement by winnig at least 25percent of the total votes cast in all the Eighteen Local Government Areas and thirdly, he outrightly won in 15 Local Government Areas. These are no mean achievements.”
The Community Leader further noted that his prayer was that God Almighty would order the Governor’s steps and give both the Governor and Deputy Governor elect, good health, divine understanding and cordial relationship to paddle well the ship of the State for another four (4) years.
While appreciating God for the outstanding supports and cooperation received by the Governor from both the polical and non-political circles, he singled out the support given by Chief Tayo Alasoadura (the Minister of State for Niger Delta) right from the conception of the second term idea by Arakunrin to the very election. He concluded that “the People of Ondo State therefore deserve nothing less than this soothing and peaceful victory.”
